Description
AFR`s 165cc "Street" heads are the preferred choice over re-worked factory heads. They feature 100% CNC ported intake, exhaust & chambers, A356 aluminum castings, in addition these are the only AFR heads that are compatible with the OEM piston valve relief. Recommended for street, towing, or street/strip engines with displacements up to 351 cubic inches, operating up to 6000 RPM. Legal for 1995 and older emissions controlled vehicles under CARB EO #D-250-3 (Part numbers 14xx). Machining options are available to customize AFR Heads to your specific build.

For the ultimate small block Ford street car, you’ve got to use AFR’s all new 165cc emissions legal aluminum cylinder heads with 60cc chambers. Unlike some aftermarket heads, AFR’s Ford cylinder head (CARB EO #D-250-3) fits all your stock components; no special parts are required! With lightweight 8mm 1.900” intake valves, 1.600” exhaust valve, combustion chamber volume of 58cc (60cc for pedestal mount heads), and 68cc exhaust ports, AFR’s new 165cc Ford aluminum cylinder head is perfect for 289 and 302 engines operating from idle to 6000 rpm. The non-emissions 165cc aluminum cylinder heads come ready for the maximum street/strip Small Block Ford performance possible. They include the exact same components as the emissions legal heads, but do not have the ports for smog compliance. Performance wise the emissions legal and non-emissions heads are identical. A 3/4" thick head deck makes any AFR head ideal for nitrous or blower applications, even with the standard 68cc exhaust ports. These heads will not accept shaft mount rocker arms. Hardened push rods required.
